In Spain, the government is already willing to subsidise an entire rural network of mobile phone towers, so that operators can lease these towers and provide the 5G network to those areas where communications are a little more complex to carry. Now people living further away from cities will be able to have internet connections of 30 and 10 Mbps, providing them with an effective means of communication.<\/p>\n

This information is already reflected in the official state gazette of the UNICO 5G plan, whose function is to try to accelerate the coverage of 5G networks in remote areas. For now, it has been said that 73,000 rural areas still do not have good coverage, and it is also known that operators are not even planning to extend the 4G network to these areas for now.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

4 OPERATORS WILL HAVE AVAILABILITY OF RURAL TOWERS TO HOST EQUIPMENT<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/section>

The UNICO 5G programme works as follows: the towers are subsidised by the state, but the operators have to pay a rent to use these towers and install their equipment. They only have to worry about getting their equipment to those towers, offering their service, generating revenue and paying for the use of the towers. This means that the scheme does not seek to subsidise the equipment, which is much more expensive, so each operator will be responsible for placing its equipment to offer the 4G or 5G network.<\/p>\n
